Daisies
Kindergarten children who want to be in Girl Scouts become Daisies. Between five and fifteen girls are usually in each troop. Daisies do great activities when they meet. The main purpose is to have fun. The Daisy uniform is a blue apron. One of the activities is the Daisy Roundup.
Brownies
Brownies are from first grade to third grade. Their uniforms are brown. It includes a shirt, skirt/shorts or pants and a vest or sash. Brownies earn try-its from doing special activities. They receive a badge when they earn a try-it. The badges and pins go on the vest or sash. This is when the girl scouts begin selling the famous Girl Scout cookies. They also participate in other activities such as the Brownie Pow Wow, and the fall sales.
Juniors
The age of Juniors is from fourth grade to sixth grade. They wear green uniforms. The uniform is like the brownie uniform, only it is green instead of brown. Juniors earn badges. They can also earn patches like the Junior Aide patch and the Bridge to Cadette patch. One of the activities that the Juniors do is the Junior Badge Workshop. In the workshop, girls spend time earning a badge with a volunteer adult to lead, and other girls interested in earning that badge.
Cadettes
Cadettes range from sixth to eighth grade. They wear blue uniforms. Cadettes work on interest patches, and may also work on their Silver Award. The Silver Award is earned after doing many tasks. You must do a certain amount of interest patches, the Girl Scout Challenge, and a main Silver Award Project.
Seniors
Ninth graders through twelfth graders are Seniors. The uniform is the same as the Cadette uniform. Seniors do many different things. They are flexible to do many categories. They can do arts, community work, career exploration, friendship around the globe, and many other interests. They may also work on the Gold Award. The Gold Award is the highest honor in Girl Scouting. It is like the Silver Award, only there are more activities to accomplish.
